"Dreaming My Way Out" was my escape from reality during the Great Depression. Connie was me born out of a vivid imagination as she lived an entirely different life I could only dream of living. Her life unfolds with many surprises. She enters into the fashion world at a young age as a model and falls in love with fashion and designing clothing. College allows her to be her devilish self--from purposely overdrinking so her roommate can tape how she would act in that situation to pulling pranks on her gullible friend. This story unfolds with joy and laughter as well as a few tears along the way. It is lighthearted but sometimes serious and I hope it takes you to the enjoyable place it took me. As a "young" author, I have studied my writing through lectures at my local library on "Writing a Book" and currently belong to a Writer's Club where we share and critique our work. I have enjoyed writing poetry all my life. When I was young I enjoyed teaching Sunday School for many years. Joined Parent Teachers Association while my children were in school and worked in Hospitality, as Treasurer and as President followed by Historian at Hanson Park School. One of my passions today is quilting for "World Relief," a project I joined in 1985.
