Improving productivity of poultry is not the major objective of the industry, now securing a suitable future of the industry is more vital. The challenging situation has compelled avian nutritionists to explore for non-conventional feed stuffs. Yeasts for feeding can be obtained as a byproduct from distilleries. However it is economical to obtain it as a byproduct and common feed ingredient in diets for monogastric animals. Distillery sludge is the byproducts of brewing industry which contains 18.25 % crude protein while 37.14 % mineral content. This higher mineral content of distillery sludge is the main limitation towards its extensive use. Therefore, a project has been planned to reduce the mineral content of distillery sludge by washing and to replace different levels of canola meal in broiler rations. It is also to determine the effect of replacement of non conventional feeding stuff with conventional Protein supplement like canola meal on growth performance, hematological and histopathological aspects of broilers.
