Crop production suffers mainly from the availability of water, which is the most critical factor in the agricultural scenario. Further unscientific use of the available irrigation water compounds the problems in crop production. As water is becoming increasingly scarce, adoption of drip irrigation system offers potential for bringing nearly double the area under irrigation with the same quantity of water. Drip irrigation and fertigation have gained enormous popularity owing to a significant saving in water and fertilizer use compared to the conventional methods. Drip irrigation with fertigation could help immensely in enhancing the quality and freshness of mulberry leaves. This book provides the information about the exact quantity of irrigation requirement of mulberry through drip irrigation and to improve the fertilizer use efficiency by fertigation for different crop geometries and layouts to facilitate cost reduction.
