As I thought about it, I realized that this reality was true for others who either married later into the family, or were born after my parents passed away. I was told to write down memories, but not just about my mother though. God later told me that I had to include my dad. I realized quickly, that I didn't want to take this writing journey alone. I wanted my siblings, extended family, and friends' involvement as well. There are so many memories that would have been lost had we not written them down. We realize that our recollections will be etched in stone for years after our own passing. They will be passed down to others who will be aware of our parents' wisdom, character, rearing practices, and definite unfeigned love for us.
