Drop Two Voicings Uncovered is a full colour instructional guide for guitar. This book focuses on chordal knowledge in all keys, all string sets & across the entire fretboard using a systematic concept to learn the power of drop two chords. Book owners can also download twenty one backing tracks which accompany the lessons and additional chordal ideas in PDF format for extended study. In section one you are introduced to minor seventh, dominant seventh and major seventh chords across the fretboard and on all string sets. Section two then takes these chords and you will learn to play them in popular progressions all over the neck and in all keys. In section two you will also be introduced to chord synonyms as well as diatonic chord patterns and extended chord voicings. The third section of the book is devoted to minor chord progressions and how to play through them. Finally, the appendices centre around the three songs specially written for Drop Two Voicings Uncovered as well as detailing all video, backing track and further resources available for the book owner.

Autorenporträt
Ged Brockie has worked as a professional musician for over thirty years and had the privilege of working with some of the finest musicians from around the world. Ged has worked in a variety of musical situations throughout Scotland, the UK and Europe. Performance work has included Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Orchestra Royal Scottish Ballet, Carl Davis, the Scottish Guitar Quartet, concert solo/band work, tours, West End shows on tour, pro/amateur shows, music festivals, TV/radio appearances, session work, educational workshops, music industry appearances, corporate music, cover band work. Other work has included Education & Industry Programs: Tutored guitar, composition, writing for film and technology at all levels from high school through F.E. (further education colleges) to higher education (university), created an HND in Jazz guitar for the Scottish Qualifications Authority, commissioned by the SQA for bespoke theory papers as well as sample examples for Higher National qualifications. Projects: Developed/co-ran the Jazz UK international summer school, pioneered the European arm of the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program led by double Emmy winning composer Hummie Mann. Part of a small team that created the Edinburgh Guitar & Music Festival in 2013. Composition: Compositional work includes two full albums to date with the Ged Brockie Band (18 titles), Three albums with the Scottish Guitar Quartet (11 titles), two albums with the Alex Yellowlees band, two indy feature films, a commission from the Scottish Parliament for music to accompany an HD film about the Scottish Parliament, a fringe show, various adverts for TV and media.
