The association between root-nodulating bacteria and leguminous plants is advantageous due to their ability to alter atmospheric nitrogen into a useful form in a process known as biological nitrogen fixation(BNF). The association between root-nodulating bacteria and leguminous plants is advantageous due to their ability to alter atmospheric nitrogen into a useful form in a process known as biological nitrogen fixation(BNF). A biotic environmental stress factors including drought, salinity, pH and temperature have a great effect on BNF.As a result, there have been numerous studies into the diversity and identity of the associated nitrogen-fixing bacterial symbionts. This work have evaluated sixty isolates for their response to different water stress levels by using different concentrations of polyethylene glycol-6000,different salinity levels,pH, Temperature, plus geographical origin comparison. Also genetic variation using DNA fingerprint PCR( RAPD-PCR, rep-PCR, ERIC-PCR, 16SrDNA fingerprint.

I have a ph.D in Molecular Biology, i teach at Al-Mustansiriyah University in Iraq.my M.Sc.degree in plant tissue culture at Kufa University. Most of my research has been on environmental stress tolerance at gene levels, specially salt and drought tolerance in plant and soil bacteria.I work at Al Mustansiriyah U.scince 2002, and still work their.
