Rheumatic heart disease is one of the leading causes of public health degradation among children and adults since the twentieth century. Rheumatic fever mostly affects the population of developing countries where poverty is widespread. This book will give insights on the drug therapy problems associated in patients with rheumatic heart disease. This was a dissertation submitted to Vels University in 2017 by a Pharm. D student. All drug therapy problems were identified and reported from the retrospective data documented, in a pharmacist perspective. Drug therapy problems like drug interactions, adverse drug reactions, drugs prescribed without an indication, ailment left untreated, sub-therapeutic dose prescribed, larger dose prescribed, etc. were all identified. This book will give information on how the literatures were identified and reviewed for the thesis. Research plan executed is stated chapter wise.
