Karen Georgia Thompson is a writer and poet. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica and lives in the U.S. in Olmsted Township, OH. She writes from her experience as a global citizen. Karen Georgia believes that words have power to heal and bring new life to body, mind and spirit. She is a healer and seer in the traditions of her ancestors and holds sacred the gifts she carries. She incorporates her culture and heritage with her spiritual and healing practices, and the rituals she creates for healing and self care. Her work has a focus on healing from grief, death, and loss, an out growth of her journey through caring for her Mother and losing both parents in less than two years. She creates rituals for healing and loss and believes writing is a source of healing emotional pain and loss.She is an inspiring preacher, speaker, teacher and theologian, who shares her skills and gifts in a variety of settings internationally. She is an ordained minister in the United Chirch of Christ.Geoffrey A. BlackGeoffrey had a career in ministry spanning 48 years. His first call to ministry was as an Assistant Chaplain at Brown University. Following that, a local church pastor, a national staff person, a conference minister and national executive of the United Church of Christ retiring in 2015 from the post of General Minister and President.With time now to pursue his lifelong interest in photography, African American History and Jazz, Geoffrey is creating a photographic website titled, The Monumental African American, which documents monuments throughout the United States that commemorate aspects of African American History and culture. On the drawing board, he is creating a podcast on Jazz and Spirituality.Lynnette X Li Pronouns: She/ Her/ They/ ThemLynnette is an openly queer Singaporean clergy who uses creative resistance as a means of cultural jamming to bring attention to agency found at and in marginal spaces. Lynnette is an emerging intersectional and interdisciplinary theologian. Feminist, queer, liberation and postcolonial theologies influence how she gives attention and advocacy to the often unseen, overlooked and undervalued places in society. Photography, watercolor and comedy are tools of expression for her creative work that brings up issues of injustices and oppression caused by colonialism, imperialism, misogyny, homophobia, and racism.
