Autorenporträt
Jack McCarthy, the venerable 72 year old, touring poet has traded poems onstage with such poets as Thomas Lux and Stephen Dobyns, and performed with Patricia Smith. The Boston Globe said, "In the poetry world, he's a rock star," about John X. He has published two books and five chapbooks of poetry. He had a five-year run with a poetry television show, has appeared in several films, and has been on NPR. Perhaps more to the point, for this particular volume, is his forty years of sobriety in AA.
