She has worked in the food world for many years, first cooking in museums, then in one of the first gastropubs and, most recently, opening The Talbot Inn in Somerset with her husband and his business partners. She runs Kitchen Cookery Table, the cooking school, which emphasizes the importance of experimenting with flavors and eating with the seasons. She is also a potter.
