Henry James death on February 28, 1916, marked the end of his life as an American-British author. He had a brother named William James, who was a philosopher and psychologist, and a sister named Alice James, who wrote a diary. He is best known for books like "The Portrait of a Lady" that show how American immigrants, English immigrants, and people from mainland Europe interact with each other in their personal lives and relationships. He tried new things with his later works, like "The Ambassadors," "The Wings of the Dove," and "The Golden Bowl." People have said that his late works are like impressionist paintings because of the way they are put together and how they create a unique sense of uncertainty.
