This study was carried out in Puducherry, the capital city of this Union Territory of India. This is a descriptive cum cross sectional study involving multiple methodological approaches. A self-administered questionnaire was used to seek socio-demographic, health profile and dietary pattern. Standard instruments and procedures were used for analysis of blood and body composition. The finding of the study revealed that 77 percent were anemic, 22 percent obese and 17 percent both anemic and obese. Within the obese individual 80 percent were also anemic which is indicative of dual burden of anemia and obesity.
