The intention of this book is the beginning of an instrument with properties of a practice guide for intervention in DMD. The goal of hydrotherapy in a heated pool is a feature that has been growing and begins to be accepted as an option in reducing disability for muscular dystrophies. Due to the physical properties of water, the voluntary movement and adoption of various postures can be facilitated and muscle stretching exercises and mobilization of articulations can be accomplished with pain relief. Hydrotherapy held on therapy pool is used to maintain muscle strength, respiratory capacity, the range of motion and prevent muscle shortening. Moreover, the freedom of movement provides enjoyment and satisfaction because patients are able to perform activities that may not be possible in another context, except water enviroment.
