A former pilot in the French Navy, FrédéricZumbiehl has since turned to writing. He wrote the scripts of several military adventure series, always insisting on hyper-realism, such as Team Rafale or Unité Félin. He was picked to replace Francis Bergèse at the helm of Buck Danny. Jean-Michel Arroyo is a self-taught artist who came to comics after 10 years of bicycle racing. After Le Paquebot des Sables, he met Frédéric Zumbiehl for a first series about air warfare, and the two stayed together for Buck Danny Classics.
