"Duke" Esper (July 28, 1868 in Salem, New Jersey August 31, 1910 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), is a former professional baseball player who played pitcher in the Major Leagues from 1890 1898. He would play for the Philadelphia Athletics, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, Washington Senators, and St. Louis Browns. He gave up Roger Connor's 100 homer, the second player to do so after Harry Stovey.
