Autorenporträt
As a mom and a special education teacher, Jacqueline Leal Lopez knows the importance of routines. Bedtime is no different, as many kids usually don't want to go to bed when they're busy having fun. This song version of "Duérmete mi Niño" came about when Jacqueline heard a different version, but decided to change the lyrics to something more personalized for her baby. It became a favorite bedtime song that helped her kids settle down and fall asleep. With this book, she hopes her kids will always cherish these fun memories. In addition, she hopes that you'll enjoy a sneak peek into the life of these two fun-loving little boys, who most nights found ways to delay bedtime and sneak in some extra play minutes. Thankfully, routine, love, patience, and music would win in the end. After participating in the Young Authors Fair in the 4th grade, it has been a dream of Jacqueline's to write, illustrate, and publish a children's book. As an educator, she also hopes that she will inspire other students to pursue their own dreams and aspirations.
