In the second study, lead and mercury levels have been investigated in the remaining deposits of dry lakes. Drought lakes are important sources of dust.

Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Taghizadeh promovierte 2007 an der Teheraner Universität für Wissenschaft und Technologie (IAU) im Bereich Umwelttechnik und arbeitet seit 2001 als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in der Abteilung für Umwelttechnik der IAU, Zweigstelle Estahban (Iran). Dr. Taghizadeh ist Leiter der Umweltabteilung.
