Christians use the 40 days of Lent to replicate the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness following his baptism by John. During his 40 days in the wilderness, Jesus did not eat or drink. In Matthew 4:1 we are told that Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Perhaps that was the sole reason for his time in the wilderness, but I also believe he spent that time preparing himself for the ministry he was about to undertake. Lent can also be described as a wilderness. We are called to a time of prayer, meditation, and scripture. My hope is that Dust to Dust will provide a "stepping off" place for your daily time of prayer and reflection. My prayer is that you will use these 40 days to strengthen your relationship with God, give of your gifts to others, and delve deeper into God's plans for your life. As you read each day, may God touch your heart and awaken the Spirit within you.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
