Soubhagya Kumar Misra (b.1940) has published several volumes of poetry, including Atmanepadi, Madhyapadalopi, Nai Panhara, Andha Mahumachhi, Dwa Suparna, Charachar and Matrasparsha. His honors include both the state and central Sahitya Akademi awards and Iowa Honorary Fellowship. He is a retired Professor of English of Berhampur University.
