Traffic phenomena are complex and nonlinear to describe due to the interactions between a large number of vehicles, human drivers, pedestrian and the facility. Due to the individual reactions of human drivers, vehicles do not interact simply following the laws of mechanics. We can possibly capture this complex phenomena using the cellular automaton model and can analyse the effects using computer simulation and some mathematical theories.
