In the book, for the first time, using the turpentine method for determining stress sensitivity, based on the peculiarities of the manifestation of the local adaptation syndrome, a comparative characteristic of changes in the body of energy-plastic substances and the productivity of sows with different stress sensitivity in connection with their age under conditions of intensive use is given. Reproductive function in stress-resistant sows with age under conditions of intensive use increases up to the third farrowing inclusive. During the first three reproductive cycles, it increases by 2.4-22.4%. From the fourth farrowing, productivity decreases and reaches its lowest values during the sixth cycle. In stress-sensitive sows, reproductive performance is lower than in stress-resistant sows. During the first three reproductive cycles, they increase less by 2.5-23.7%. From the fourth reproductive cycle, the level of productivity in stress-sensitive and stress-resistant queens becomes equal, as a result of a more intense decrease in the values of the determined indicators in resistant animals. After the sixth farrowing in stress-resistant uterus, they were lower than in stress-sensitive uterus.
