L'autore è nato a Sedrata, in Algeria, nel 1961. Ha iniziato la sua carriera come ufficiale superiore dell'esercito prima di dedicarsi all'insegnamento presso l'Università di Annaba. Dopo un prematuro pensionamento, si dedica ora alle sue passioni, tra le quali la scrittura occupa un posto centrale.
