Communication technologies have become important instruments in education and hold great promise for increased accessibility, flexibility and affordability, as a critical means of promoting high quality learning for both formal and informal learning in general. However, e-learning readiness could be influenced to large extents by the level of technology adoption (appropriate ICT skills), independent learning skills and goal-directed behaviors of students and faculty that could determine the level of meaningful learning in any educational environment. This book is recommended to university stakeholders - students, faculty and administrators, who are interested in research activities in the area of e-learning, and/or the design, development and deployment of e-learning initiatives in the education sector and particularly, distance education in developing countries.
