The main purpose of this book is to undertake an in-depth investigation on the use of interactional reading strategies in reading online by a group of seven Iranian postgraduates who are with internal locus of control. This study used constructivism and new literacy theories to examine the types of interactional reading strategies used to read online texts. The students were selected at the early stage of this study through two types of questionnaires: Locus of control Questionnaire, and Interactional Online Reading Strategies (IORS). Data for this study were collected through observations, interviews and online forum. The implication of this study is that students with internal locus of control are more capable of implementing interactional strategies in understanding online reading texts.
