Hugo Radau (b. 1873) came to the U.S. from Germany in 1890 and then completed his Ph.D. at Columbia University. His other publications include 'Letters to Cassite Kings from the Temple Archives of Nippur,' 'Bel: The Christ of Ancient Times,' 'Sumerian Hymns and Prayers to God Nin-Ib,' and 'Sumerian Hymns and Prayers to God Dumu-zi.'
