Such Canonic had been also considered in hagiographical works. As it is known, the hagiographical works had always been created for reading in the churches. Praising of a saint, martyr used to conduct for strengthening belief of believers. At first, Christianity was a persecuted religion with small number of believers. Authors of hagiographic works aimed at strengthening their belief. Due to this, the maincharacter of the hagiographical work was to be an ideal person for the rest of the Christians.

I entered the faculty of philology at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in 1989 and graduated in 1995. In 2002 I became PhD. My thesis was "The Martyrdom of St Gobron by Stephane of Tbeti". I'm the author of 2 monographs, 2 textbooks and 51 scientific articles. I'm the editor of 8 books. I take part in scientific projects & conferences.
