scientific approach. Explaining the steps to examine
the earthquake performance of the historic
Beylerbeyi Palace, which is a representative of the
great buildings in the late of 19th century in
Istanbul, and searching the possible retrofit
techniques by means of reversible mixed
technologies, this book is intended to be a guide to
follow for similar historical structures.
Autorenporträt
He was born in 1977, in I d r, Turkey. He graduated from the
Civil Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University in
1998 and he got his Master s and Doctorate degrees from Bo aziçi
University. Currently, he works as Asst. Prof. at Anadolu
University. His major areas of interests are earthquake
engineering and historical structures.
