Bill Nunes is a retired social studies teacher and school administrator from Edwardsville High School and is the author of 15 books on the history and nostalgia of St. Louis, East St. Louis, and Illinois. He is a native of the East St. Louis area. Andrew Theising is the director of the Institute for Urban Research at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He is the author of the award-winning book Made in USA: East St. Louis, a companion to the Emmy-winning public television documentary of the same name. His family has lived in the St. Louis/Southern Illinois region for over 150 years.
