Autorenporträt
Claude Grison is Research Director at CNRS (exceptional class) and leads the Laboratory of Bio-inspired Chemistry and Ecological Innovations (Montpellier, France), dedicated to the implementation of new ecological solutions and innovative chemical tools for tomorrow's chemistry. Claude is the pioneer of the ecocatalysis concept, which represents a major breakthrough at the interface between ecology and chemistry. She is author and co-author of more than 175 scientific articles including 28 books, 45 patents and 192 conferences. She has received 12 Awards for Innovation, including the European Inventor Award 2022. Claude is also an elected member of the European Academy of Sciences and of the French National Academy of Pharmacy. Claire M. Grison is a research fellow in the Laboratory of Bio-inspired Chemistry and Ecological Innovations (Montpellier, France). She received an engineering diploma in biochemistry at INSA Toulouse (France), and a PhD in organic chemistry with Prof. David J. Aitken at the University of Paris Saclay (France), where she graduated in 2015. After post-doctoral positions in chemical biology at the University of Leeds (UK) and in structural biology and biochemistry at the University of Montpellier (France), Claire is now recognised as an interdisciplinary expert in chemistry, biology and ecology with much international experience in academia and industry.
