Abhay Khandagle est titulaire d'un doctorat en zoologie. Il a 23 ans d'expérience dans l'enseignement aux niveaux UG et PG et a publié de nombreux articles. Il a également reçu le "Best Teacher Award" de l'université de Pune. Il est directeur adjoint du collège Prof. Ramkrishna More, à Akurdi, en Inde. Il dirige le centre de recherche.
