Lakes are an integral part of the natural environment, like pearls located in varying densities within the geographical envelope, are unique water formations, which have a great attraction for humans. Podvornoye lake is one of the lakes in the Republic of Bashkortostan. We assessed the ecological state of the lake. The depth of the lake was measured and a map of its depth was made. Volumetric activity of radon was measured. In the spring period exceeding of maximum permissible concentration is observed, in summer period the indices are normal. Concentrations of chemical elements in water samples were measured, no excess of MPC was detected. Microbiological indicators were examined, the number of bacteria corresponds to the norms. The chemical analysis of silt has been carried out. According to the organoleptic analysis the water is clear enough. The flora of the lake and the adjacent territory was analyzed. The flora of the lake is quite diverse and includes 76 species. The analysis of the fauna of the lake and the adjoining territory was made.
