Forests not only fulfill the demands of tribes people regarding their food and shelter etc., but they also influence the lives of human beings in many ways. They modify the local climate , reduce soil erosion , regulate the stream flow, improve the ground water and also the condition of floods , increase precipitation and provide shelter to fauna and flora and also to the human population. Plant Ecology is defined as the study of organisms in reciprocal relationship with their environment . Therefore forest Ecology should be the study of a forest in reciprocal relationship with its environment . The studies on resources Ecological Diversity and Economics of individual tree species becomes important from the point of view of exploring the Ecological and Economic importance of specific species.
