The study deals with the ecology and taxonomy of the vegetation of Um Rimmitta area, White Nile State,Sudan.The species were identified belonging to a number of families.brief descriptions of the coolected specimens have been included.Alomst 49.4% of the species were found to have medicinal uses. Moreover, a check list of endangerd, extinct and famine food plants has been provided.Ecological parameters have been studied (density, abundance,frequency,diversity,and association.The soil seed bank was analyzed for a number of life and dead seeds at the study area. The results of biomass showed there was a decline in th carring capacity.The natural regeneration and canopy cover were also studied.Attention should be paid to land use planningand resource utilization and conservation with national land commission regulation.
