The Karbi tribal group of Assam in Northeast India are dwelling their livelihood in the lap of nature. Their traditional economic organization is very much depended on different natural resources. It is sustaining their livelihood since time immemorial. On the other hand, rituals, folk culture and certain social customs are also an integral part of their traditional economic organization. Thus among the Karbis traditional economic organization is a reflection of the ethno-ecology and cultural cognition in a broader spectrum.
