The Indian meal moth (IMM), Plodia interpunctella (Hübner) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) is a cosmopolitan insect pest that infests a wide range of stored food commodities, such as cereal grains, legumes, dried fruits, nuts, spices, etc. This major economic insect pest of stored products is found on every continent except Antarctica. This study was carried out to investigate the population incidence of Indian meal moth in Bangladesh and to observe the effect of different photoperiod regimes on the biology of IMM.
