The research, titled Economic and Social Impact of Road Accidents in Kerala, examines the issue of road accidents and how they affect victims and the economy as a whole.The economic and social ramifications of such human tragedies are being studied, with particular relevance to India and one of its highly human developed southern states, Kerala.Though the study attempted to understand the problem from the perspective of Kerala state, it also attempted to cover the problem from a global perspective because 1.3 million people die in road accidents worldwide each year, with India accounting for 11% of such fatalities with more than 1.5 lakh fatalities per year.The research also sought to uncover the sources of the problem from the global to the state level and offers some practical remedies for halting the catastrophe.The impact of such tragedies has been identified by gathering information from victims and categorizing it under economic and social aspects.The research effort finishes by emphasizing the need of resolving the problem by comprehending its enormous economic and social consequences.
