Produktbeschreibung
This book presents the results of the research entitled Economic Growth, Urban Concentration and Economic Inequality in Latin America, coordinated by the author and developed at El Colegio de Tlaxcala A. C. in the period 2020-2022, within the framework of the approaches followed by the Territorial Planning and Urban Development research line of the Center for Regional Development Studies and Economic Analysis (CEDRAE). This research analyzed the relationship between economic growth, urban concentration and economic inequality in Latin America, proposing the territorial and systemic approaches as methods that contribute to a better interpretation of this relationship, highlighting the case of Mexico in the Latin American context. An attempt was made to understand to what extent economic concentration is linked to accelerated urbanization that builds large urban primacies, which, in turn, promote important economic inequalities that cyclically condition economic growth.
