This study was premeditated out of the necessity to provide substantially quantifiable facts on the actual impact of international tourism on the economy of Northern Cyprus. Approaching the study from a macro economic perspective, the study used visitor expenditure as the sole analytical variable and the input-output economic impact analytic procedure as the analytic procedure of choice in line with established economic impact analysis tradition as gleaned from existing literature. Applying the generic input-ouput analytic process developed at the Michigan State University.
