The general information of the SHGs has been analyzed with the help of primary data collected from the respondents through a Questionnaire. The empowerment of the respondents is analyzed by following before and after comparison which helps to study the changes in the lives of the respondents because of their involvement in SHG. Post-2011-12 more and more women have participated in Self-Help Groups and have been benefitted from the same in the state of Punjab. Here, Punjab Grameen Bank has also played a vital role in uplifting the life of beneficiaries of self-help groups.
