Conducted a study in District Auraiya was purposively selected and the block Auraiya having highest acreage under gram was selected purposively for the study. List of the villages from selected block were prepared along with acreage under Chickpea cultivation and 5 villages were selected randomly for study. 100 numbers of farmers were selected proportionally from each category of farmers and classified into three categories i.e. marginal, small, and medium. The data were collected by personal interview technique with the help of pre-tested structured schedule. The period of enquiry pertain to the agricultural year 2017-18. Cropping pattern chickpea farm on overall average covers 11.64 per cent to total cropped area and the cropping intensity was 210.79 per cent shows inverse relation with the size of holding. In per hectare and per farm average investment on overall farms recorded to Rs. 507655.40 and Rs. 394263.00 and per hectare cost of cultivation shows positive relation with size of holding as it was maximum of Rs. 29536.05 on medium farm. Per quintal cost of production was found to be Rs. 2467.42 and productivity was 10.29 quintal per hectare.
