Each entry provides bibliographic information about the title, including the date founded, previous titles, frequency, price, name and address of publisher, editor's name, circulation, where indexed or abstracted, and target audience (academic, general public, specialist). Entries also indicate if the title features book reviews, illustrations, advertisements, an index, or is available on microform or on a database. The compilers provide full description and evaluative annotations, discussing content, editorial policy, authority of contributors, technical format, and unique or special characteristics. The geographical index, publishers' index, and classified title index are all useful.
