This study was conducted to assess the economics & marketing of organic apple produced in Jumla district of Nepal. This book attempts to analyze contribution of apple in household economy,productivity and resource use efficiency in apple production, explore present value chain structure, identify major problems and prospects of apple production and tries to find out whether certification scheme offer benefit to farmers or not. Findings of this study has been focused for GOs/NGOs/INGOs, and value chain actors to make effective plans for formulation, promotion, and dissemination of policies related to development of commercial apple sector in high-hill areas of Nepal.

Mr. Jagannath Adhikari was born on 17th November, 1982 in Kavre. He has completed M.Sc. in agriculture (Agricultural Economics) from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Rampur Chitwan Nepal. Currently he has been working as district coordinator of USAID Nepal's Education for income generation program in Jumla district.
