Ecio Rodrigues, Gewinner des Samuel-Benchimol-Preises (2008) und des Preises der Banco da Amazônia für bewusstes Unternehmertum (2011), ist Forstingenieur und hat in nachhaltiger Entwicklung promoviert. Aurisa Paiva ist Juristin mit Spezialisierung auf Umweltmanagement. Sie sind Autoren von Büchern und Artikeln über die wirtschaftliche Nutzung der biologischen Vielfalt der Wälder im Amazonasgebiet.
