Natural resources are an essential element in human life, especially in rural areas. They are an important means for the satisfaction of the population's needs. They offer employment opportunities and contribute to socio-economic development. The awareness of their importance in the daily life of mankind, has allowed their protection and conservation.Aromatic and medicinal plants (MAP) as natural resources constitute an important pillar in the economy of our country, especially in rural areas. They can be valorized on the ecotouristic level based on the landscapes that they offer and on the know-how that they constitute through their virtues and diverse uses: in traditional medicine, in food and cosmetic industry and in perfumery. This study was devoted to the main MAPs of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Region which enjoys a distinguished geographical location as part of the Atlantic domain. The diversities of the relief and the climate confer an important wealth in MAP. Those studied in this work are the truffles of Maâmora and the lavender of Oulmès.
