These proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 11th European Conference on Social Media (ECSM 2024), hosted by the University of Brighton, UK on 30-31 May 2024. The Conference Chair was Dr Panagiotis Fotaris from the University of Brighton. ECSM is a well-established event on the academic research calendar and in its 11th year the key aim remains the opportunity for participants from around the world to share ideas and meet the people who hold them. The scope of papers ensured an interesting two days. The broad and multidisciplinary range of subjects covered illustrate the diversity of topics that fall into this important and ever-growing area of research. The opening keynote presentation was given by Dr Martin De Saulles, Principal Lecturer at The University of Brighton on Establishing Trust in an AI-driven Economy. On the second day, Dr Tony Sampson from The University of Essex, gave a talk on the subject: Return to Virality: Contagion Theory in the Age of Social Media. With an initial submission of 138 abstracts, after the double blind, peer review process there are 37 Academic research papers, 7 PhD research papers, 2 Master's Research papers and 2 work-in-progress papers published in these Conference Proceedings. These papers represent research from Canada, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Hungary, India, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Lithuania, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovak Republic, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, Türkiye, UAE, UK, USA and Vietnam
