extremism, deep political divides, tensions and corruption, among others, which are rendering Ghanaian society vulnerable in terms of peace and sustainable living. The research found that although Ghana has been perceived as a stable nation in the West African sub-region, the prevailing conditions of social pressures and tensions render peaceful co-existence in the country fragile. The study identified that such diminishing life situations have given rise to conflict and violent situations in the past. This work is an attempt to provide an ecumenical interfaith response for the enhancement of peace and sustainable living in the country. The main argument of this thesis is that an ecumenical and interfaith paradigm which makes it possible for indigenous African religions and culture to make a contribution in addressing the challenges identified in the Ghanaian society is required.
