Autorenporträt
Adam Kazansky is an author who has written for magazines, websites and ran a music blog. After taking screenwriting and fiction classes, and running out of music to write about, Adam found his voice writing for children. Adam and Sebastian (the Illustrator) were always looking for a project to work on together and this story became that project. Adam was born and raised in the Catskills, before moving to New York City where he lived for 19 years. Adam now resides in Westchester, New York with his wife, daughter, and four-year-old cockapoo.Sebastian Alappat is a veteran art director and illustrator who left the corporate world to pursue his love for art. Walking on the path towards fine art led him to create SPARK, an art, yoga and meditation program serving children in New York City. Always having passion projects, he decided to team up with his friend to create their very first children's book. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland's John Tenniel, he intended to bring back a very high level of detail to the art of the book. All original pencil sketches were painted using pure watercolor pigment for a deeper, richer color and then inked by hand with fountain pens to create an etched look. Born in Kerala, India and immigrating to America at a young age, Sebastian grew up in Queens loving Batman, Spider-man and the Mets. He now lives in Harlem with his wife and daughter.
