LaDelle Mercer lost her father suddenly at age eighteen. After searching for over four decades for a book that reflected the reality of her own personal loss and after teaching fourth grade and watching children come to terms with the most difficult, challenging and sometimes unanswerable questions about loss, she wrote her first book, Edmonton Rayleigh Worthington III and His Ladybug Friend.
