Environmental catastrophes such as desertification, floods, droughts and consequent food shortage in different parts of the globe, including parts of Africa, have progressively drawn attention to the fragility of planet earth. The need is to take urgent necessary actions so as to respond appropriately to the impacts of climate in the world today. To this end, the book, Educating for Climate Change Adaptation in Nigeria, presents a synopsis of the global environmental crisis and highlights aspects that are particularly relevant to Nigeria. In this empirical research, the spotlight is on the integral link between sustainable development, gender and the environment. The underpinning analysis is from a religious and theological point of view. The book showcases how an agricultural community in Jos, north-central Nigeria, is adapting to climate change. It is an eloquent indication of what government and non-government actors can learn and replicate in service of their citizens.
