The study has made some case studies which reveal their strategies for survival within the urban settings. No doubt, street children are the inevitable part of the urban life. The book has revealed many hidden issues of the life and struggle of street children in a developing country like Bangladesh. The aim of the research was to understand the underlying causes of their present life, the impact of education to improve their life and how visible efforts can at least provide basic education to thedeprived children. The findings of the study, in various ways, can be replicated in other cities for ensuring a better life for the street children.

Em 2005, Enamul frequentou a Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Universidade Nacional de Singapura, para obter o grau de Mestre em Políticas Públicas. Lá fez uma pesquisa sobre as crianças de rua da cidade de Sylhet, Bangladesh. O Dr. Scott Fritzen trabalhou como seu supervisor. Enamul Habib trabalha na Administração da Função Pública do Bangladesh desde 1998.
